Bio
Cavin Lim (b. 2001) is a Singaporean lens-based media artist.
He works primarily with photography and video as reflective tools that hold emotion and fragmentation. Through his works, he explores how we feel memory and identity, inviting us to consider the fragile, non-linear ways we make sense of our world. Cavin’s work is driven by a desire to give form to feelings that are difficult to name.
He is a graduate of LASALLE College of the Arts and holds a degree in Fine Arts awarded in partnership with Goldsmiths. He was previously nominated for the International Takifuji Art Award in 2025 and has exhibited in group shows such as What Are Hands For (Earl Lu Gallery), You’ll Flutter the Dovecotes (ICAS Gallery), and Teetering (Alliance Française de Singapour).
My favorite vinyl that I currently own is If You Were A Movie, This Would Be Your Soundtrack by Sleeping With Sirens.
