Guilty Conscience, 2024

The summary of ‘life’ is our existence preceding our own essence. This work is meant to be a gate way to an individuals need of discerning their own sense of purpose and how they deal with their own existence. A freedom of will does not inherently mean we have the freedom of choice. As humans we are bound by our circumstances, this discrepancy causes angst. In our journey to navigate ‘life’ the simplest solution is to give in and accept our absurd “fate’ and to live in the dread than to question it.

This dread of life acts as a fuel for our existence as we holds onto it dearly. Additionally our constant need to search for more purpose within our lives will only cause us more dread. Its a wound of a guilty conscience.

The weight the world felt on the individuals shoulders taken to an extreme, is seen by himself as something that only he experiences. Dwelling in his perception on what the world is, his surrounding only reflects it back onto his existence.
